Colds & Coughs & Makeup

It seems I've caught some sort of something... Cold maybe? It may be the fact that I went outside in the bone chilling weather... Well its not like that anymore, it seems it's gonna be in the sixties all week so I guess I have to drag back out my fall and spring clothes. Why can't my town just have one year of normal seasons? I've got a bit of a cough as well, since I've coughed so much it hurt my throat so talking is a bit of a challenge at the current moment in time.

Let's get past my cold and move on to one of my favorite subjects, makeup.

I've always had an interest in cosmetics and today I'm going to be discussing one of my favorite companies that distributes such products. E.L.F., otherwise known as Eyes Lips Face, is my all time favorite makeup producing company. Most of my makeup collection consists of their products.

A walk through my regular winter/spring makeup routine...

Generally I'll start by cleansing my face with a makeup remover wipe because I've found that for my skin it works much better than any facial cleansers I've tried. Next I'll apply some Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner and apply moisturizer. Now that I have a nice clean moisturized face I get a clean sponge (I use a separate sponge for toner and primers) and apply e.l.f.'s pore-less face primer.

Next I'll apply Mabelline's Matte and Pore-less Fit Me foundation (I use Porcelain most the time cause I'm always so pale and hardly tan but when I do I use ivory)

Next I'll use e.l.f.'s contouring cream pallet to contour my face to the desired shape.

And use some colors from the Illumination pallet to add glowy look to my face.

Apply eyeshadow from their 'Need It Nude' pallet. I generally apply the two highlighting colors two the very left, two contour colors from the right and the two middle colors of the pallet. The others I use if I'm feeling really subtle or bold (depending on my mood).

I finish the look off with e.l.f.'s matte lip colors (They are the bomb)

They come in a big assortment of colors, the particular one I am displaying is called 'Wine' which is one of my favorite colors they have. I received a 'Holiday Assortment' this Christmas and this color came with it. The assortment came with Wine, Rich Red, Berry Sorbet and Praline. (of which I am currently wearing)

And of course everyone loves when their makeup stays in place but it's not an easy thing when your wearing it all day so I have some Mist & Set Spray from e.l.f. that is the bomb and it's basically the less expensive version of MAC's Fix+ spray which is twenty one dollars whilst e.l.f.'s spray is only three dollars.
